What a Difference 70 Years Makes

I ran across this CD that I bought ONLY because I needed a track to accompany some animated jalapenos that I was creating. They really were amusing as they danced and sang to Roving Cowboy, the first track here. Unfortunately, the animation is not on this laptop.

For some reason this music is not at all irritating to me, as is today's Country & Western music. It has an innocence that's almost alien in today's world. Last spring, when my uncle from Argentina visited, he wanted to listen to country music and I played this for him. We had a grand ole time dancing and singing on the patio - oh yeah, there was some drinking as well...

Back when I had a life, I'd sometimes hang out at the bar of my friend's restaurant - eating and drinking. It was a great setting with 1940s music - not Western. I remember finding that music very pleasant, or... it could just have been something to do with the Martinis...
