Not So Happy Birthday To Our USA

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.

Right. Excuse me while I slam down my glass of wine and laugh hysterically. Who can recite this with a straight face and their hand over their heart?

Today's verse of the day can't be a coincidence. Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.

The god of the United States of America is not the Lord. It will go the way of all the other nations throughout history who have turned away from God. They get annihilated, conquered, or fester under a soulless oppression.

As there are no nations whose God is the Lord, it stands to reason that we're on our own, as individuals. There is no longer sanctuary within the boundaries of a nation. Not a single one. The level of corruption is not yet uniform, but the coming New World Order will make it all nice and evenly horrendous.

The quaint group, including George Washington and Betsy Ross, depicted in the painting above would think they had died and gone to hell if they were to awaken from their big sleep and walk about this fallen country.

Could you imagine George Washington sitting at the White House, chatting with George Bush, asking him about what's been going on here in the last 208 years since his death? That would be one interesting conversation.

Bush: "Oh yeah you didn't get Nickelodeon back then."

Washington: "Did you keep the republic?"

Bush: "Yeah it's still hanging around...hey, tell me, did you ever get to play laser tag in the White House?"

Washington: "Laser tag?"

Bush: "Thanks for the secret Presidential hiding places, I own that game now."

I would assume Washington's jaw would unhinge and hit the floor. He'd then fix it, pull his sidearm and put a ball of lead between W's eyes.
'Course, once he saw the modern day Sodom we live in, he'd probably do the same to himself, just to end the nightmare.

Yes, K-Bear, I could see it all unfolding as you imagine... uh huh...

And then Billy D's scenario would take place. I don't think Washington would want to live in today's USA.

But could we go back and live in 1776 any easier than they could adjust to 2007? How much value does technology, transportation, communication, electricity, entertainment, medicine, etc. hold for us? Would any of us be willing to change places with anyone from that time?

It would seem that it comes down to deciding between two radically different lifestyles, worlds. Each having certain advantages. I suppose it depends on what one values most.

When I look at how God used the Persians to punish His people, when they were out of line, a chill runs through my body.

Our nation is so far out of line with God's will and word and the Persians want to destroy us.

I don't doubt that history repeats itself.

...but the coming New World Order will make it all nice and evenly horrendous.

Sounds to me that you and Winston Churchill would agree on the evils and shared misery of communism.

It has to. Humans have always been the same. As we are very limited beings, so are the possible outcomes.

How's that definition of insanity go? You keep doing the same thing and expect a different result. Only it's not insanity, it's our stiff-necked nature, our ego. Satan knows how to work it really, really well.

Yeah, he did say it first. This truth is worth repeating, shouting it from the rooftops. Although, it won't make any difference. People will always want to control or be controlled.

I always grit my teeth when I see conservatives defending that oath. It's socialist drivel aimed at undermining the concept of America as a federation of states. It should have been...
